He’s driving through that affluent neighborhood bragging about how effective his company is. He needs to take his show to the hood and see how it goes. Of course, people in the hood can’t pay him for his services.

There are some things that are good about this. Providing security for somebody closing up a business is a good thing. But just what sort of police powers do these guys have? Can they legally stop and search anybody they want to? Do they have the same constitutional restrictions that the police have? It all seems rather dystopian, but I guess that’s where we are now, or at least where we are headed.

Yeah I was kinda shocked. Did a little digging and it seems most of their income comes from freight delivery to party stores and gas stations. I work just off 8 mile and saw them doing just that last week. In that gear with long rifles and shotguns in full display. I must admit it unnerved me a little.

I guess it’s sort of like the padlock on my back gate. Sure, you could climb over or cut the lock if you really wanted into my yard. But it would be easier to go into my neighbor’s yard. He doesn’t have a lock.
